The best hotel on Neuwerk
Erholung pur
Schönes Zimmer mit schickem Bad. Das Frühstück und das Essen im Anker sind sehr gut, geschmackvoll und vielfältig. Den Inhaber gelingt es immer wieder, dass wir uns hier sehr wohl fühlen und uns phantastisch erholen. Wir können nicht nur 1 oder 2, sondern auch ein paar Tage mehr wärmstens empfehlen.
We only ate in the restaurant. Small but good vegetarian selection. Everything was delicious and fresh. Friendly service. Everything was great.
Mal abgesehen von den anderen Kommentaren können wir nur noch eines hinzufügen. Das was uns am meisten in Erinnerung bleiben wird ist die Freundlichkeit und Herzlichkeit ALLER Leute vor Ort. Danke und weiter so!
Friendly hosts on a very peaceful island. If you're looking for tranquility and want to truly unwind for a few days, this is the perfect place. The food in the restaurant is good, but not very varied for vegetarians. Considering the supply chains necessary for Neuwerk, it's a fantastic offer.
We had a wonderful short break on Neuwerk in July 2026. We were captivated by the island's tranquility and natural beauty, as well as our family-run accommodation at Nige Hus (New House) with its attached restaurant. The view from our first-floor rooms perfectly reflected the island's serenity. The food and drinks in the restaurant were excellent, as was the breakfast in the bright and airy breakfast room. I can only say thank you so much for the wonderful stay in April. The room (Crow's Nest) was fantastic. Lying in bed at night, looking out at the sea and watching the ⛴️🛥️ was simply dreamy. Since the ship wasn't running, the hotel informed us two days before our arrival (we had already seen the cancellation and rebooked). The hotel would have otherwise arranged alternative travel arrangements for us. We thought their efforts were excellent. As I said, the room was fantastic. Okay, the sloping ceiling was a bit narrow for me, so I had to walk through it sideways. But that's really nitpicking... Breakfast was offered as a small buffet; it was classic North German fare—where else do you get herring salad for breakfast? 💙 In the evenings, we ate at the restaurant. The herring platter was delicious and highly recommended, but the Hamburg schnitzel was also excellent. It always came with a generous portion of fried potatoes. We will definitely be back.
Unfortunately, I can't comment on the rooms, as I stayed in the restaurant. The service there was very friendly and attentive. The food arrived quickly and was delicious.
Immer wieder
Tolles Haus, super freundliches Personal, gutes nordisches Essen und einfach eine wunderschöne Location und Insel. Lauft auf dem grünen Deich entspannt einmal um die Insel. Erlebt bei jedem Treffen ein Gefühl von Nachbarschaft, mit einem freundlichen Moin Moin, erlebt Freiheit bei einer Wattwagenfahrt und lasst Euch den Wind um die Nase wehen. Und verpasst nicht Fischbrötchen, Bierchen und Urlaubsstimmung am Leuchtturm.
A lovely little hotel! They fulfill every possible wish! The rooms are clean and beautifully furnished! All the food we had was delicious and fresh! Very accommodating hosts! They even pick you up from the ferry and take you back again by tractor! We would definitely stay here again!
