We visited the restaurant after our mudflat hike. The food was delicious, the service friendly, and the setting very cozy. We had a mixed salad with fried potato dumplings with cream cheese and the "Matjesteller" (matjes plate) with three kinds of herring: sherry matjes marinated in beetroot juice and sherry, Mathe's traditional dish, with an apple and onion sauce; and herring bites in a curry marinade with fried potatoes. Highly recommended.

Schöne Unterkunft und freundliches Team

Wir haben hier nach unserer Wattwanderung mit Hund übernachtet.nUnser Zimmer war schön eingerichtet, mit schönem Bad und einer kleinen Couchecke mit Ausblick.nWir sind freundlich empfangen worden und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die zum Teil überdachte Terrasse lädt zum Draussensitzen auch bei windigem Wetter ein. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

This is our second time here as guests and we feel right at home. The hosts around the Griebel family make it easy for us with their friendly, unobtrusive manner, the surroundings and the island in general are beautiful, the hotel and restaurant are personal. The cuisine is delicious and down-to-earth. We can relax wonderfully with children and dogs. We'll be back - that's for sure!

A pleasant surprise!

This hotel is way beyond any expectations!!! Very spacious rooms, just renovated (again!), 5 star level of bathrooms, excellent breakfast, family run with attention to detail and personalised service is definitely an excellent , value for money choice! nHighly-highly recommended!

Classic German Hotel in the middle of nowhere

We stayed in this hotel for one day. Neuwerk is a very small island, and many people come to visit it only for a few hours, just to make one round. We stayed for one night and were very about our decision. The time when all the tourists are gone and you are almost alone in a small peace of land in the Northern Sea is precious. We were very happy with the hotel. It is most probably old hotel but renovated. Room vas big a comfortable and what is most important new. The food in restaurant was very tasty, especially fish. The hotel was surrounded but very well maintained beautiful garden. I would definitely recommend this hotel for staying if you are planning to visit Neuwerk.

Wir waren jetzt zum zweiten mal im Nige Hus zu Gast. Ich beim ersten mal so auch jetzt wurden wir unter Coronabedingungen recht herzlich begrüßt. Wir hatten ohne es zu wissen das schönste Zimmer des Hotels gebucht. Wir waren im Wittsand. Ein großes Doppelzimmer mit einem großen Bad ( Wanne und Dusche ) mit Tageslicht. Das Besondere an diesem Zimmer ist der Blick nach drei Seiten über die Insel in Richtung Elbfahrwasser. Diesen Blick kann man von einer kleinen, kuscheligen Sitzecke auch zu zweit genießen. Wir hoffen, dass wir im nächstem Jahr wieder dort sein dürfen. Ein ganz besonderer Dank auch an das tolle Personal und besonders an den Bratkartoffelkoch.

Singleurlaub im Paradies

Ich habe sechs traumhafte Tage auf Neuwerk im "Nige Hus" verbracht. Das Zimmer " Krähennest" war wirklich toll, mit einer traumhaften Aussicht, einem schönen modernen Bad und einem bequemen Bett.
Das Frühstück war ok , die Speisekarte im " Ankerplatz " gut, der Service sehr gut.
Ich hätte mir als Alleinreisende mehr Interessse von Seiten der Hotelinhaber gewünscht ( bei Anreise wurde mir die Zimmerkarte ( nach halbstündiger Wartezeit ) mit den Worten : " sie können jetzt auf ihr Zimmer einfach auf den Tisch gelegt....ich (war zum ersten mal Gast) erst darum bitten mir den Weg zum Zimmer zu beschreiben.Auch sonst hätte ich mir gerne etwas mehr Interesse am allgemeinen Befinden gewünscht , für ein "familienbetriebenes Haus" wirkte es doch leider alles sehr unpersönlich.
Aber das Wetter war TOP und darum blicke ich mit Freude auf diesen Urlaub zurück

Restaurant Zum Anker - Empfehlenswert

An das Hotel Nige Hus ist das Restaurant „Zum Anker“ angegliedert.nWir waren im Rahmen eines Tagesausfluges vor Ort. Man kann sehr nett draußen sitzen - wahlweise überdacht mit Sonnenschirmen oder auch auf einer kleinen Sonnenterasse. Das Servicepersonal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. nDie Speisekarte ist überschaubar und fein. Nachfragen bzgl. Allergien sind gar kein Problem, einfach melden und die Küche nimmt darauf Rücksicht. nInsgesamt ein sehr positiver Eindruck, hier kommen wir gerne wieder.

Top Organisation in allen Belangen....das ganze Team ist zu jederzeit ansprechbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Auch bei der Planung im Vorfeld sind wir mit guten Ideen unterstützt worden. Alles einfach prima.....

Tolles, charmantes, heimat typisches, idyllisches und überaus sauberes Hotel mit 1a indivi duellen Zimmern in einem Umfeld, welches zum Seele Baumeln lassen einlädt. Reich haltiges, regionales und rustikales Speise Angebot, welches ich gerne als höherwertig betrachte - mein persönlicher Favorit, die Krabben Suppe "Neuwerker Art". Überaus freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.

We can't rate the rooms because we only went out to eat. BUT: The food is really absolutely first class. Fresh fish, fantastic salads and unique fried potatoes filled our stomachs faster than is healthy - but with such delicious delicacies you just can't eat slowly. A visit to this cute restaurant will be a very special experience, especially because of the great service there! The perfect mix of warm friendliness and sensitivity with classic service is not always easy to find these days. Thank you for the lovely time we had in the restaurant!

Erholung pur

Schönes Zimmer mit schickem Bad. Das Frühstück und das Essen im Anker sind sehr gut, geschmackvoll und vielfältig. Den Inhaber gelingt es immer wieder, dass wir uns hier sehr wohl fühlen und uns phantastisch erholen. Wir können nicht nur 1 oder 2, sondern auch ein paar Tage mehr wärmstens empfehlen.
